v1.1.0
29 Sep 2026
Latest · Chrome Web Store

A PWA section, a Simple view for the people who report issues, and a panel that works on apps with a strict security policy.

  • PWA section. For progressive web apps and offline clients: the service worker, caches, storage, the offline database and the changes on this device that have not been synchronised yet. Read-only: it never syncs, clears or unregisters anything. The PDF report and the Agent API carry it too.
  • Simple view. A second view in the appearance menu for testers and key users. It shows the page name and the user roles, and one Copy for developer button puts the page, the roles and the data on the page in a block to paste into a ticket. The username stays out of both.
  • Strict security policies. On an app whose Content Security Policy only allows the styles it lists itself, the panel opened as unstyled text, its sections did not open, and the browser logged an error for every style it refused. The panel now styles itself in a way no policy blocks, on every site, and tells you when a site is strict.
  • App themes that style every piece of text no longer change the panel's colours and sizes.
  • The version badge shows the Mendix version as 10.24.24; the full build number is in its tooltip.
  • Red, orange and green insight rows and tiles now look the same as the Accessibility tiles. In the Data panel, the eye on an association shows whether that object is highlighted.
  • Includes 1.0.3, 1.0.2 and 1.0.1, which go to the stores as part of this release.
v1.0.3
27 Sep 2026
Superseded by 1.1.0

Opening the panel no longer changes your app's text.

  • The panel's fonts were registered under the same names your app might use for Familjen Grotesk or IBM Plex Mono. On an app with either font, opening the panel shifted its text by a few pixels. The panel now loads the same fonts under names of its own.
  • Includes the fixes from 1.0.2 and 1.0.1.
v1.0.2
27 Sep 2026
Superseded by 1.0.3

The doc-endpoint probe runs only when you click it.

  • The doc-endpoint probe in Security used to run every time the panel opened, although it was meant to wait for its button. Each run left 404s and a debugger warning in the inspected app's log. It now sends its four HEAD requests only when you click Probe.
  • Includes the tooltip fix from 1.0.1.
v1.0.1
27 Sep 2026
Superseded by 1.0.2

A fix for the metric explanations.

  • The ? explanation on a metric (What it is, Aim for, Details) now stays in view. It used to open upward only, so near the top of the panel its first lines were cut off. It now opens downward when there is no room above.
v1.0.0
26 Sep 2026
Firefox Add-ons

The first stable release, submitted to the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.

  • New look for the panel, the Data inspector, the Style tooltip and the Session card, with light, dark or automatic mode and a solid or glass material.
  • PDF report redesigned: A4 pages in the panel's style, long tables split cleanly across pages.
  • The accessibility audit covers the whole page, not only what is in view.
  • Data inspector highlights on the page take the colour of the dot in the list.
  • The Agent API starts switched off and remembers your choice.
  • Fonts ship with the extension: no requests to Google Fonts.
  • Quieter on other sites: requests are only timed on pages with Mendix markup.
  • The donation link is gone.
v0.3.0
13 Sep 2026
Beta

MxInspector becomes readable by an AI assistant.

  • Agent API: a read-only window.__mxiAgent that lets an assistant read the page structure and the resolved CSS cascade, including which rule wins and the file it comes from.
  • AGENT badge in the panel header: shows whether the API is on and what an assistant has read, with a switch to turn it off.
  • Licence changed from MIT to PolyForm Shield 1.0.0: free to use, commercial use included.
v0.2.6
28 Apr 2026
Beta

Firefox joins Chrome and Edge.

  • Firefox 128+ support, with one build per browser.
v0.2.5
28 Apr 2026
Beta

Silent where it has nothing to do.

  • No console messages on sites that are not Mendix apps, and a short notice when you open the panel on one.
  • Version numbers in the panel, the About box and the files are in sync again.
v0.2.4
28 Apr 2026
Beta

Popup pages get their real name.

  • Popups in the React client are detected with their page name instead of the page underneath, or Unknown.
v0.2.3
24 Apr 2026
Beta

The Style inspector gets its own button.

  • Style button in the panel footer, with one hover tooltip for classes, typography and the box model.
  • Fixes for errors that some non-Mendix sites showed in their console.
v0.2.2
22 Apr 2026
Beta

Two reliability fixes.

  • Double-click to minimise the panel works every time.
  • Fewer false contrast warnings: modern colour notation, gradient backgrounds and transparent layers are measured correctly.
v0.2.1
21 Apr 2026
Beta

Mendix 11 and page changes.

  • Highlighting works on Mendix 11 Data grid 2 rows.
  • The Data inspector refreshes itself when you move to another page.
  • Pages without data show an empty state instead of objects left over from the previous page.
v0.2.0
21 Apr 2026
Beta

The Data inspector and most of today's panel.

  • Data inspector: page parameters, context, on-page and cached objects, with search and highlighting on the page.
  • Data Sources, health score, performance metrics and Core Web Vitals, security scan, accessibility audit, typography and CSS analysis.
  • Every metric explains what it measures and what to aim for.
  • PDF export of the full report.
v0.1.0
16 Apr 2026
First beta

Where it started.

  • Widget inspector with hover tooltips, attributes and associations read from the React client of Mendix 10+, with a fallback for the classic Dojo client.
  • Page metrics and a first health score.
v0.0.x
Before the first beta
Alpha

Three early alphas.

  • The extension itself, basic widget inspection and the object inspector with attributes, associations and parent context.
